North Sea Tall Ships Regatta

There are no age restrictions for the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta; everybody over 15 years old is welcome to sign up. Are you 15 - 25 years old? If so, At Sea Sailtraining offers you a chance to participate in special International Exchanges with people from different countries. There are several ships who will join this race like Astrid, Eendracht, Gallant, Oosterschelde and Wylde Swan.

Leg:
Hartlepool (England)– IJmuiden (Netherlands)
Race 10-18 August 2010
Sail Amsterdam 19 - 23 August 2010

The arrival at the port of IJmuiden is the start of a massive last party with the whole team of your Tall Ship. A last goodbye to all those new friends with whom you spent those exciting days on the sea! But maybe it won’t be the last goodbye, if they accompany you to the Dutch capital when the Tall Ships set course for Sail Amsterdam!

Hartlepool (Engeland) 7-10 August
Hartlepool offers a great opportunity if you want to get in the right state of mind for the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta. Relive the heyday of the British navy at the Maritime Experience, between the cannons, the gunsmith, the instrument maker and other historical characters! In the present, Hartlepool still is a sturdy town of marines, full of typical British pubs. If you want to practice the mastclimbing before entering the tall ship, there is a boulder park half an hour away in Summerhill where you can reach for the top!

IJmuiden (NL) 18-19 August 2010

Sail Amsterdam (NL) 19-23 August 2010
After the stop in IJmuiden, Amsterdam is the final destination of the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta. Not by coincidence, we arrive during Sail Amsterdam. After a week of racing, you know the tall ship inside and out, but on this parade you can marvel at the hundreds of historic vessels, steamers and motorboats. The visitors will get a chance to see what you have experienced during your stay at sea, there are concerts, dance shows and of course the crew parade in which you participate. Naturally there are huge fireworks!
