Voyages are a big part of Greek mythology. You probably have heard of the Odysseus, or that other well known story from the Greek Antiquity about Jason and the Argonauts. In the Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta you will relive the legend; with a replica of the Argo. This famous ship owned by the Greek hero Jason will accompany the tall ships towards the Black Sea, along the same route as the one in the myth.

Scuba diving, mountainclimbing, horseriding, sailing the sky-blue Mediterranean Sea; it`s all possible in and around Volos. The city also offers delicious traditional courts, plenty of shops and nightlife opportunities. By the way, Jason is not only the hero from the legend we are reliving in this race, but also the name of the adorable steamtrain from Volos to the nearby mountain villages.

Varna (Bulgaria): 21-24 May 2010
Varna is one of Europe`s oldest settlements and nowadays it`s the upcoming trendy youthful city in Eastern Europe. A lively music- and partyscène and a sparkling nightlife! Especially when the Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta arrives in town, during the countries` National Holiday (24 May).

Istanbul, (Turkey): 27-30 May 2010
Strolling over the bazars, marvel at the Sultan`s palace or at the spectacular underground cistern near the Hagia Sophia, Istanbul is a mesmerizing city. The ferries take you from the European to the Azian shore, overlooking the hillsides full of domes, minarets and other marvellous works of archtecture from the days of Constantinopel. While the Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta is in town, Istanbul celebrates the election of European Capital of Culture Cultural 2010!

Lavrion (Greece): 4-7 June
